This 70+ slide presentation (full of videos, ideas, and resources) and reflection guide will support you in implementing inquiry-based learning in your daily interactions with children!

The natural world can spark authentic, inquiry-based learning with children of all ages. By taking an inquiry-based learning approach, we can support child-led explorations of the outdoor world and the many learning experiences that emerge from them. Applicable ideas will be shared for infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and early elementary school years. Participants will reflect on what their outdoor space looks like through the changing seasons, and how even in small, urban spaces, we can support child-led learning! This workshop offers ideas for how to make inquiry-based learning thrive in mixed-age settings.

Participants will:

-share ways we can shift our language with children to foster more curiosity

-identify ways that observations & reflections can better our practice

-explore possible inquiry topics throughout the seasons
