This 30+ slide presentation (full of audio, videos, ideas, and resources) and reflection guide will support you in providing more nature play opportunities for infants and toddlers!

While many trainings and resources to support nature-based education and outdoor learning experiences are becoming more common, most of these focus on preschool or early elementary grades. But don’t let this discourage you-- if you are an educator for and caregiver of infants and young toddlers, getting outside and providing nature play opportunities is so important! This workshop will give you logistics on how to get groups of infants and young toddlers outdoors, how to dress for the seasons, and ideas for potential nature play activities and explorations.

Participants will:

-explore research that outlines the benefits of nature play for young children

-learn how to dress children for outdoor play in all seasons

-review ideas and tips for setting up an outdoor learning environment and potential activities

-discuss the importance of documenting the learning and development that occurs during outdoor play

*You will receive the reflection guide with a link to the presentation within 24 hours of purchasing-- please check your spam folder and reach out to rootsofchildhood@gmail.com if you do not receive it within 24 hours
